ABOUT ME
After my son turned 17, I found myself teaching him to drive. After a 30 year career with the police and as a qualified trainer, it reminded me how much I love teaching. After Sam passed his test I decided to qualify as a Driving Instructor.
I am patient and adaptive, tailoring lessons to individual student needs. By creating a safe and relaxed learning environment I am committed to delivering the highest standards of Driver Training.

My philosophy is to teach driving skills.
I then present students with managed situations in which they are given the opportunity to apply and develop those skills.
I will support your learning and develop your driving skills to become a safe, confident and skilled driver for life.
LESSONS AND PRICES
I understand that every student learns at different rates and in different ways….I also understand that every student is different in how they would like to manage the cost of their lessons.
LESSON STRUCTURE
Lessons are normally 2 hours as this is the optimum time to maximise learning, however I am flexible to student needs and will tailor the lesson duration to the needs of the student or topic.

Students will be encouraged to be fully engaged to reflect on their learning and progress and to identify next steps.
Following all lessons I provide written feedback detailing strengths and areas for future development.
10 HOURS BLOCK BOOKING
I offer blocks of 10 hours teaching at a rate of £400, which is paid in advance.

THE CAR
YOU WILL LEARN TO DRIVE
in a modern Citroen C3 1.2l petrol with a manual gearbox. This vehicle was voted "Driving Instructor car of year" due to its ideal learning environment for students, practicality, reliability, safety features and ease to drive.
